Mary Olive Pierson
Mary Olive Pierson was a candidate for the Louisiana Supreme Court in 2012.
2012 election
Pierson ran for the seat of retiring Chief Justice Catherine Kimball on the Louisiana Supreme Court. She was defeated on November 6, 2012 after receiving 14.8% of the vote.[1][2][3]

Education
Pierson earned her B.S. from Louisiana State University and her J.D. from Louisiana State University.[4]
Career
Pierson works as a lawyer in Baton Rouge. She also served as a law clerk for the Louisiana Court of Appeals, Second Circuit from 1971 to 1972.[4] In addition to her legal work, Pierson has served a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council and as chief administrative officer for the Office of Mayor President.[5]
