Megan Simpson
Megan Simpson was an associate district court judge for Harper County, Oklahoma, which is located in District One. She was appointed to this position by Governor Mary Fallin on July 9, 2012, to replace former Judge Wayne Olmstead who resigned in January of that year.[1] She was defeated in her bid for re-election in 2014, and stepped down when her term expired on January 11, 2015.[2]

Education
Simpson received her undergraduate degree from Phillips University, and earned her J.D. from the University of Denver.[1]
Career
Before her appointment to the bench, Simpson was the assistant district attorney in Custer County, Oklahoma. She has also served as the assistant district attorney in Texas County, and has worked as an attorney in private practice. In addition, Simpson has been a contract attorney for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System.[1]
