Raymond Veary
Raymond Veary was an associate justice for the Massachusetts Superior Courts.[1] He was nominated to the court by former Governor Deval Patrick (D) on December 1, 2010.[2] His nomination was confirmed by the Governor's Council in January 2011, and Veary was sworn into office in February 2011.[3] He may serve on the court until he reaches the mandatory retirement age of 70.[4]
Education
Veary received his undergraduate degree from Norwich University in 1969 and his J.D. from the Boston College Law School in 1972.[2]
Career
Prior to his judicial career, Veary served as a prosecutor with the Bristol County District Attorney's Office for 24 years. He also previously worked as an attorney in private practice in New Bedford, Massachusetts.[2]
