Richard Butler was a temporary judge of the Karnes County Court in Texas. He was voted in by the Karnes County Commissioners Court in March 2014 to replace Barbara N. Shaw, who retired after losing her re-election attempt in the 2014 primary. He served on the court until the election of Walter R. Long, Jr. in 2014.[1][2]
