Scott Batcher was a 2012 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Iowa.[1] Batcher was raised in Minnesota and moved to Iowa in 1996.[2]

Batcher ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Iowa's 3rd District. He was defeated by Tom Latham (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1]
