Shad Redmon
Shad Redmon was considered for appointment to the First District Court of Appeal in Florida. He applied for appointment to fill one of two openings on December 1, 2015, for a term to begin in January 2016. The vacancies were created by the retirements of judges Simone Marstiller and Robert Benton.[1] He was not selected for the appointment.
Biography
Education
Redmon earned his J.D. at Florida State University College of Law in 1996.[1]
Career
At the time of Redmon's application for the First District Court, he was a supervising prosecutor serving with State Attorney Glenn Hess in the 14th Judicial Circuit. He was Hess' lead prosecutor in Jackson County for years before taking the same position in Calhoun County in 2015. Hess hired him in 2009. His first position after graduating from law school was as a part-time public defender. He simultaneously held a private practice in Marianna, Fla. He went on to work with the practice of Robert Trammell for one year and with the Marianna law firm of Bonderant and Fuqua for two years. He worked full-time with the public defender's office in Calhoun County for eight years after that.[1]
