Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 60.05 percent of the vote. She competed against Sam Eng.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 27.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Trey Duhon. [2][1][3]
