Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Hello Chula Vista, my name is Jaqueline Gonzalez. I have two beautiful daughters that attend Vista Square. Go Vikings!!! I’m very passionate of the importance of elementary school education. I consider myself a free thinker and I’m very considerate to others points of view. I proudly served the DAC/DELAC parent leadership community as their President a year ago. I am skilled at communicating effectively with our parent community across various platforms. I’m just a helicopter Mom who wants the best for our children.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about helping the community in need or at risk of homelessness. I’m bilingual and I have enjoyed my experiences as DAC Chairperson advocating for the English Learner community.There is also a huge discrepancy between the East and the West side schools. It seems like we need to work together as a community to bring excellence in education to every single CVESD student regardless of their zip code.
