Jean Marie Martwick was a judge of the Columbia County Circuit Court of the 19th Judicial District in Oregon. She was appointed to the court by Governor John Kitzhaber on September 30, 2013, to replace Steven B. Reed.[1] Martwick was defeated in her bid for re-election in 2014 and stepped down from the bench at the end of her term in January 2015.[2]

Martwick ran for re-election to the Oregon Circuit Court, 19th Judicial District.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 37.7 percent of the vote. She competed against Cathleen B. Callahan and Jason A. Heym.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 45.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Cathleen B. Callahan. [2][3] 

Education

Martwick attended Portland Community College and Portland State University for her bachelor's degree. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Oregon School of Law.[1]

Career

Before joining the court, Martwick worked as an attorney in private practice and was a member of the Columbia County Consortium, where she was involved in juvenile dependency and delinquency cases. Prior to that, she worked for the Metropolitan Public Defender Services for over ten years.[1]
