Barry K. Stevens

Barry K. Stevens is a judge on the Ansonia/Milford District Superior Court in Connecticut.[1] Judge Stevens was appointed to the bench in 1994 by Governor Lowell Weicker. His current term expires on November 27, 2026.[2][3]
Education
Stevens graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1975 where he earned undergraduate degrees in psychology and social relations. He was awarded his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1978.[4]

Since 2010, Judge Stevens served as presiding judge for the Bridgeport Juvenile Docket. From 2006-2010, he served as presiding judge on the Waterbury Complex Litigation Docket. He is an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law. While working at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Stevens served as Chief of the Financial Litigation Unit. As an attorney, he handled personal injury, civil rights, medical malpractice, bankruptcy and commercial matters in both the state and federal courts.[4]
