Deanis L. Simmons
Deanis L. Simmons is a circuit court judge for the 28th Judicial Circuit in Virginia.[1] She was sworn into office on July 11, 2013.[2]
Education
Simmons received her undergraduate degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and her J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law.[3]
Career
Before she joined the 28th Judicial Circuit, Simmons served as a district court judge for the 28th Judicial District's Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. She has also previously served as an attorney for Tazewell County for thirteen years and worked as an attorney in private practice.[4]
