Garry A. Merritt is the judge for the Real County Court in Texas.[1] He was elected in 2010 and began serving in January 2011. He was re-elected without opposition in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2][3]

Merritt ran for re-election to the Real County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 57.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Gary E. Overbay.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014. [3][4][5] 

Education

Merritt earned a B.A. in English from Rice University in 1989. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1993.[2]
