James B. Hancock is a judge of the Floyd County Superior Court in Indiana. He was elected on November 4, 2014, for a term expiring on December 31, 2020.[1]

Hancock ran for election to the Floyd County Superior Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 52.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Chris Lane.
General: He defeated Matthew W. Lorch in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 57.6 percent of the vote. [1][2] 

Education

Hancock received his B.A. in political science from Purdue University in 1973 and earned his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in 1979.[3]

Career

Hancock also served as the plan commission attorney for Floyd County.[3]
