Jasmin Lilly-Spells is the daughter of a lifelong union member, the wife to a military veteran, a mom to four kids, an attorney, mentor and dancer. Now, she would like to be your judge, Clark County District Court, Department 23. Having represented many clients with varying backgrounds and personal challenges, Jasmin understands that justice should never be doled out as though it is one-size-fits-all. Her extensive trial experience as a Chief Deputy Public Defender, and experience as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children, make her the ideal candidate for a seat on the bench. She is passionate about ensuring that every party who walks in the courtroom feels relevant and knows that their voice is being heard. Jasmin understands both sides of cases and how the law touches everyday people. If elected as your judge, she will provide equal access to justice, a listening ear, and balanced rulings. As a proven advocate for all, Jasmin Lilly-Spells is eager to continue serving her community as judge, District Court, Department 23.

As someone who was inspired to enter public service because of the death of a loved family member, I am accutely aware of the pain families experience due to wrongful death and excessive use of force on the part of law enforcement. As a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children, I am also very involved with child welfare issues. As a volunteer mediator, I am passionate about helping parties find common ground and compromise as they seek reolution to disputes.
