I have served for 12 years as a District Court Judge. Previously, I served as a Navy JAG, working as a prosecutor and defense attorney while stationed in the US and overseas. After the Navy, I worked as an assistant district attorney.
  • I believe that public service is a calling, not merely a career option; and after three terms as a District Court Judge, I am running for Superior Court 26B in 2022 because I want to continue my service. I have the judicial experience, knowledge and temperament to be an effective and fair Superior Court Judge.
  • As a native Charlottean, I have seen our community grow and change in many ways. However, one thing has not changed: Mecklenburg County still needs judges committed to upholding the laws that protect our citizens and families.
  • I have the respect of both law enforcement and attorneys for my tough but fair approach.
I am passionate about ensuring that the law is applied fairly and equally to all who appear in my courtroom, and that the justice system is fair and accessible to all, irrespective of wealth and status.
