Lindquist ran for election in the 2010 election for Maine State Senate District 34. Lindquist ran unopposed in the June 8 Democratic primary, but withdrew from the race after the primary. Patrick Gordon replaced Lindquist as the Democratic candidate in the race, and he was defeated by Roger Sherman (R) in the general election, which took place on November 2, 2010.[1]
