An effort to recall Alvin Jackson from his position as Mayor of Richwood, Louisiana is underway.[1] As of December 2015, this recall effort appeared to be abandoned and Ballotpedia discontinued active coverage. Please contact us if new developments occur with this recall effort.
Background
The recall effort was led by Richwood Alderwoman Margie Davis. Recall supporters were upset over the town's financial situation and wanted Jackson out of office. Davis told reporters in regard to Jackson, "I have lost confidence in his ability to manage the town of Richwood. I did write him a letter asking if he would resign because he had not done so, he told me nope, but I could recall him if I wanted to."[1]
