What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Working with County Council

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

The example is to be Christ like. I know I’m going to fail and people will see that but it’s how I respond. Loving everyone is a key trait as well

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Honesty and availability

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

The technology, the laws, the policies within the office as well. I know them enough to be able to move forward and upward once in office.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Management and Leadership

What legacy would you like to leave?

Turning the office to be the example of what other agencies strive to be like.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

Haley’s comet and going out to Charleston Southern University and seeing the telescope they had out. I was 6.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Bagging groceries more of a summer job, 2016 and 2017.

What is your favorite book? Why?

Charlie and the Chocolate factory. The author could paint the picture using words and the little guy wins in the end!

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

Chicken Dance

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Patience, I don’t like waiting but have learned through methods to be happy for the pause!

Two fish are in a tank. One looks at the other and says how are we going to drive this thing.

Dr Rucker retired Doctor with Spartanburg Ear Nose and Throat.
