Associate judge appointed to Illinois circuit court

Illinois: Public Defender Joshua A. Meyer appointed as associate judge, on Monday, May 17, to the Illinois Seventh Judicial Circuit Court as a replacement for Macoupin County Associate Judge Diane Brunton. Brunton resigned in February after being suspended without pay in January after being accused of making threats. Meyer was chosen after receiving a majority of votes cast by circuit judges in the Seventh Judicial Circuit.[1]
