Elections for the New Mexico House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 4, 2014. Incumbent Nick Salazar defeated Bengie Regensberg in the Democratic primary, while James R. Gallegos was unopposed in the Republican primary. Salazar defeated Gallegos in the general election.[1][2]

Regensberg ran in the 2012 election for New Mexico House of Representatives District 40. He ran agianst Peter A. Martinez and both were defeated by incumbent Nick L. Salazar in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012. Salazar faces Republican Gary E. Martinez in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
