As this election approaches, I want to personally reach out and share a bit about who I am and why I’m running to be your next County Commissioner. Like many of you, I’ve built my life here in Douglas County. I was raised in South Lake Tahoe and have spent my entire adult life here. After 28 years you can say I know the people and the culture make this place so special. I’m not just someone running for office—I’m your neighbor. For over 25 years, I’ve been behind the counter at your local grocery store, helping you put food on the table and ensuring we all have what we need. The values I carry with me—hard work, integrity, and honesty—were shaped by my upbringing in South Lake Tahoe and have only deepened during my years in Douglas County. Whether through my work, coaching youth sports, riding bikes with my son, playing a round of disc golf, or just lending a hand when someone needs it, I’ve always believed that what makes us strong is how we show up for each other and pull together when times get tough.
  • Protect Our Open Spaces: I love the natural beauty of Douglas County and I know many of you do too. I’m committed to preserving our open spaces—our parks, trails, and natural areas—so we can enjoy them now and for generations.
  • Have Safe, Secure Neighborhoods: I take the community's safety seriously. I will support local law enforcement’s efforts to improve crisis management and neighborhood policing programs that keep us all safe.
  • Have Responsible Growth That Benefits Everyone: I want to ensure we preserve Douglas County's beautiful rural nature. Growth should be smart and thoughtful so we can all enjoy the benefits without losing what makes it unique. As County Commissioner, I’ll work hard to ensure balanced growth by supporting policies that support economic prosperity without compromising our quality of life.

Social and economic equity involves tackling income inequality, ensuring affordable housing and expanding healthcare access.

Public safety and health emphasize community-oriented policing, enhancing mental health and substance abuse services, and strengthening emergency preparedness to build a resilient community.
1. Integrity: Upholding honesty and strong moral principles, ensuring actions and decisions are ethical and transparent.

2. Accountability: Being responsible for decisions and actions, and willing to be held accountable by the public.
3. Empathy: Understanding and valuing the diverse needs and perspectives of constituents to make informed, compassionate decisions.
4. Transparency: Communicating openly about policies, decisions, and processes to maintain public trust.
5. Commitment: Demonstrating dedication to serving the community's best interests and working toward long-term solutions.

6. Collaboration: Working effectively with others, including colleagues and constituents, to find common ground and achieve goals.
My first job as a paperboy was inspired by the character Cru Jones from the movie “Rad.” I did this for a couple years while I was in middle school. I will say that it definitely looked more glamorous in the movie.
