Brock Bean is an Omaha small business owner experienced in construction management. He lives in Elkhorn with his wife, Cami, and their five children. He is committed to building a stronger metro area through quality, affordable education.
Dodge County and the Omaha Metro area are facing a workforce crisis. Our economy is poised and ready to grow and create good-paying jobs to support strong families.

Metro Community College is an important institution to provide quality, affordable education, especially in the trades. These professions are much needed and it is vital to train Nebraskans to work them. Metro needs to refocus on what students want and what Omaha needs - practical education that has a clear path to a job upon graduation.

The Metropolitan Community College Board of Governors has the authority to levy property taxes - and they use it. In the last year the board voted to raise YOUR taxes with little to no oversight from the general public. If elected I will ensure that you are aware of what happens behind closed doors in order to protect the education our students deserve, and provide a fair tax levy for taxpayers.

Throughout the Omaha Metro area and across the country the student debt crisis is causing financial and personal hardship for millions of people. Metropolitan Community College is the perfect solution for students to earn an associates degree, certifications, or take general education requirements before transferring to a four year institution. Tuition must be kept affordable while ensuring quality education by keeping close watch on the budget. My business experience will help to provide top-notch service to the students and to retain good teachers.
