Noteworthy cases
2018
On June 12, 2018, the Los Angeles Rams were ordered by a St. Louis, Missouri, jury to pay former Rams running back Reggie Bush $4.95 million in contemporary damages and $7.5 million in punitive damages. The jury found that the Rams were liable for an injury suffered by Bush in 2015, at which time the Rams were located in St. Louis. Stovall-Reid presided over the case. In his original suit, Bush had also named the St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority and the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission, which owns the facility in which the injury occurred, as defendants in the case. Stovall-Reid dismissed them from the suit.[7][8]
