Carole A. Hicks was a 2014 candidate for the 22A Judicial District, which presides over Alexander and Iredell counties of North Carolina.[1]

Hicks ran for election to the 22A Judicial District.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46.4 percent of the vote. She competed against incumbent Judge H. Thomas Church.

Judicial performance evaluation
In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[2]

Education
Hicks received her undergraduate degree from Gardner-Webb University in 1989 and her J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1992.[3]
Career
Hicks opened her own law practice in 1993. She works as a contract attorney for juvenile delinquency in the counties of Iredell and Alexander. She is also a certified family and financial mediator.[3]
