Cindy Jafary

Cindy Jafary holds an at-large seat on the Raleigh County Schools school board in West Virginia. She was initially appointed to the chamber in 2007 and won re-election on May 13, 2014.
Biography
Originally from Wetzel County, West Virginia, Jafary moved to Beckley in 1994. She graduated magna cum laude from West Liberty University with a degree in education. She owns and operates a medical clinic with her husband, Dr. Hassan Jafary. In addition to her managerial duties, she is a certified medical review officer assistant for the clinic. Jafary is a council member for RESA 1 and a board member for the Family Resource Network, the county wellness committee and a local school improvement council for the Academy of Careers and Technology. She is a recipient of the WVEA 2014 Margaret J. Baldwin Friend of Education Award.
Jafary helped to found the West Virginia Patient Advocacy Group and maintains memberships in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the American Medical Association Alliance, the American Academy of Professional Coders and the Physician Office Manager's Association of America. Jafary and her husband have two sons.[1]
