Recall supporters

There were no reports on the rationale for the recall, though Locke, Nogaki and Queen faced charges of violating the state's public meetings law in February 2016. These charges stemmed from a private meeting in September 2015 where city business was allegedly conducted.[2]

Supporters submitted separate petitions for each councilmember to Gilchrist and Levy counties. Separate petitions were required because the city resides in both counties.[1]
