Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I was born and raised right here in Finland MN. I moved away for a few years for school and world travel where I got to experience so many wonderful places, communities, and people. But there is something special about these north woods and so I decided to dig my roots in and make my home back on the family farmstead. Now I want to give back to the community by working to keep it a thriving place we all want to live in.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Housing Access: Folks should not be forced to move because the home they are living in is suddenly valued so high.
• Thriving Community: Our government needs to serve us and support our community to thrive now and into the future
• Clean Air and Water: Our amazing natural spaces are the fuel of our economy and need to be protected so that our children can benefit just as much as we have

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am running for county commissioner to serve you and the entirety of my community here in Fall Lake, Little Marais, Crystal Bay, Silver Bay and the surrounding areas. I bring a fresh perspective and a willingness to ask questions, dig deep, and seek creative solutions needed if we are going to continue thriving as a community now and long into the future.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

I think the most important qualities to be an effective public servant are to be actively engaged in the community and constantly listening to residents so that I can make informed decisions about what matters. It is also incredibly important to consider both the short term and long term impacts of all decisions to make sure the county is proactively supporting a thriving community into the future.
