Dacia Kruse is the former Acting Nebraska Director of Economic Development. Kruse was appointed by Gov. Dave Heineman in June 2014 to replace former Director Catherine Lang, who resigned to accept a job in the private sector.[1]

Kruse served three years as Deputy Director of the Department of Administrative Services before Gov. Heinemann named her the Acting Nebraska Director of Economic Development. She previously worked for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.[2]

In June 2014, Kruse was named Acting Director of the Department of Economic Development by Gov. Dave Heineman. She served until February of 2015, when Governor of Nebraska Pete Ricketts appointed Brenda Hicks-Sorensen to fill the role.

Gov. Heinemann appointed Kruse to serve as Acting Nebraska Director of Economic Development in June 2014, filling the role previously held by Catherine Lang. Lang resigned as director and commissioner of labor to take a job in the private sector, effective June 27, 2014.[1]
