Darrell S. Mavis
Darrell S. Mavis is a judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California. He assumed office in 2006. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Mavis won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California outright in the primary on March 3, 2020, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Biography
Education
Mavis received his B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1988 and his J.D. from Harvard University in 1991.[1]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Davis worked for the District Attorney's Office from 1992 to 1998 and 2000 to 2006. For two years, from 1998 to 2000, Mavis briefly left the District Attorney's Office to work for the Department of Justice. Mavis also teaches at Southwestern University School of Law.[2]
