Elmer Scipio Dundy (1830-1896) was also a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska.

He was nominated by President Andrew Johnson on April 4, 1868. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 9, 1868, and received commission that same day.[1] He served on until his death on October 28, 1896. Dundy was succeeded in this position by William Douglas McHugh.
