Robert Van Pelt (1897-1988) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska.

Van Pelt was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on May 22, 1957, to a seat vacated by John Delehant; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 11, 1957, and received his commission on June 13th. He assumed senior status on May 5, 1970, and served in that capacity until her death on April 27, 1988. Van Pelt was succeeded in this position by Warren Urbom.
