A recall effort against three members of the Fort Mojave Mesa Fire District Governing Board in Arizona was initiated in 2023. The officeholders targeted in the recall effort included Chairman Michael Bell and board members Catherine Lopez-Rajaniemi and R. Larry Morse.[2] The recall attempts failed after the required signatures were not submitted by the deadline.[3]
Recall supporters
The recall petition was initiated by former board member Keith Parker in response to the board's decision to fire Fire Chief Chris Pardi. Parker argued that the decision had a lack of transparency and cited "the lack of respect and leadership that they show on that board" as reasons for the recall attempt.[2]
