The ballot question was as follows:[1]

Shall Article III, Section 11, of the Charter be amended to be consistent with state law and the Texas Constitution and clarify that in the event of a vacancy on Council, or any officer appointed by Council, the person vacating their respective office shall remain in office until such time as a successor is sworn into the vacated office?[2] |
