Gloria A. Dumas
Gloria A. Dumas was a judge for the Davidson County General Sessions Court Division IV in Tennessee. She was elected to this position in 1998 and re-elected in 2006, but she did not seek re-election when her term expired in 2014, citing medical reasons.[1][2][3][4]
Education
Dumas received her B.S. degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1984 and her law degree from Cumberland School of Law in 1987.[2]
Career
Dumas worked as a private practice lawyer with an emphasis on domestic and criminal law prior to her judicial election in 1998.[2]
Reprimand
Dumas was publicly reprimanded by the Tennessee Court of the Judiciary for violating judicial ethics. Dumas hired her daughter as her court officer, which the court said violated making appointments based on merit.[5]
