Function

In 2014, the Washington State Senate described the function of this committee as outlined below.

The Senate Governmental Operations Committee considers issues relating to elections; campaign finance; public disclosure; public records; open public meetings; land use and growth management; the operation of counties, cities, and special purpose districts; ethics in government; and the administrative functions of state government.
