James K. Roberson

James K. "Jim" Roberson is a judge of the 15A Judicial District, Third Division of the Superior Court in North Carolina.[1] He was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2]
He is also the chief district court judge for the 15A Judicial District, serving Alamance County in North Carolina. He was first elected to this position in 2000 and took office in December of that year. Roberson was re-elected in November 2012. He was appointed chief district court judge in December of 2004.[3] He will leave this position to be sworn in as a superior court judge in January 2015.

General: He defeated Keith Whited, Mike Rodgers (North Carolina), Alex Dawson, III and Rick Champion in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 30.8 percent of the vote.

Roberson ran for election to the superior court in the 15A Judicial District. He was defeated in the general election, receiving 30.62% of the vote.[7]

Roberson received his B.S. in mathematics from East Carolina University in 1971 and his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1975.[3]
