An effort to recall Janice Hahn from her District 15 seat on the Los Angeles City Council was launched in July 2010. Two websites advocating for the recall were created, but no official paperwork was ever filed.[1][2] Janice Hahn was elected to U.S. Congress in a special election in July 2011.
