Campaign themes
In a survey with United for MN School District 833, Johnson stated the following campaign themes:[4]
I would like to see us explore a way to lengthen the school year for students for whom retaining information over summer break is a challenge. I would like to see us, because of the quality of our programs, attracting students from surrounding districts because we offer things they cannot obtain where they are currently enrolled. We are working on this now with our Special Education Services, and I look for great things to happen there. Other things I’d like to change are reducing some of the mandates that are more legislative than related to quality of education, but that’s a discussion for a different arena. |
