Leon T. Hobbs
Leon T. Hobbs was a Republican candidate for the District 2 seat on the Gwinnett County Board of Education in Georgia. He lost election against incumbent Dan Seckinger and challenger Ileana S. McCaigue in the primary election on May 20, 2014.
Biography
Hobbs earned an associate degree from Gulf Coast Community College. He later received a B.S. and an M.S. from Florida State University. Hobbs also holds an Ed.D. from Florida Atlantic University. He worked for 36 years as a teacher and administrator as well as the superintendent of Osceola County School District. At the time of his candidacy, Hobbs was serving as a federal law arbitrator. He and his wife have four kids.[1]

Hobbs reported $2,027.52 in contributions and $845.44 in expenditures with the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, leaving his campaign with $1,182.08 on hand prior to the election.[2]
