Maine Kennebec Bridge, Referendum Question No. 3 (1972)

The Maine Kennebec Bridge Bond Issue, also known as Referendum Question No. 3, was on the June 19, 1972 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred bond question, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have issued $4 million in bonds for the construction of a toll bridge across the Kennebec River between Waterville and Winslow.[2]
Background
In 1925, a legislatively referred constitutional amendment funded the construction of a bridge across the Kennebec River between Bath and Woolwich.
