Maine is one of five states that lack an office of the Lt. Governor. In Maine, the first person to succeed to the governor's seat if the seat is vacated is the Attorney General, a position held by Janet Mills at the time. The position of Attorney General of Maine was not up for election 2010.[1]
Official polling hours on all election days were 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. However, a given polling place may open at 6:00 am or as late as 10:00 am, depending on the size of the town.
