Margaret Vellar
Margaret Vellar is a judge of the Pueblo County Court in Colorado. She assumed office on July 1, 2021.

She was appointed to the court on May 13, 2021 by Gov. Jared Polis (D) to replace David Lobato.[1]
Biography
Vellar received her bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1986 and her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 1989. She served as a Deputy District Attorney in the 10th Judicial District Attorney’s Office from 1990 to 2006, then served as a Deputy District Attorney in the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office from 2006 to 2007 and was a Senior Deputy District Attorney there from 2007 to 2013. She had been the Chief Deputy District Attorney in the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office since 2013 prior to her appointment.[1]
