Nancy Pappas is a former member who represented District 4 on the Comal Board of Trustees in Texas. She was first appointed to the board in 2012. Pappas lost re-election to the board against challenger Denise Kern in the general election on May 10, 2014.

Pappas earned a B.A. in economics from Emory University in 1988. At the time of her tenure, Pappas was working as an active lifestyle specialist with The Institute of Public Health and Education Research (TIPHER). Pappas also served as the treasurer of the Comal Education Fund. She and her husband, Randy, have three children who have attended district schools.[1][2]

I want to serve because I care about the education & well-being of every student, I care about our district being fiscally responsible with taxpayer money, I care about the teachers and administrators who are the key to our children's education and I care about engaging and communicating with all stakeholders in order to produce the best results for our community.

Top goals: Improving student achievement, addressing teacher compensation issues and increasing community engagement.
