The North Dakota Labor Unions and Strikes Referendum, also known as Referendum 1, was on the June 29, 1948 ballot in North Dakota as a veto referendum, where it was approved. The measure related to a 1947 session law that made it civilly unlawful (subject to injunction and liable to damages) the picketing of a plant if a strike has been called without an election and a vote for the strike by 51 percent of the employees voting.[1][2]

Text of measure
