Dr. Alejandro Elias is the superintendent of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District. Elias was appointed interim superintendent on November 28, 2022 and as full superintendent in June 2023. Elias' previous career experience includes working as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. [1][2][3]

Past superintendents

  • Jorge L. Arredondo was the superintendent of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District from October 1, 2019 until November 2022. Arredondo's previous career experience includes working as an English teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent for family and community engagement.[4]
  • Daniel P. King was the superintendent of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District from 2007 to 2019. King's previous career experience included working as the superintendent of the Hidalgo Independent School District.[5]
