Reggie McKnight (Democratic Party) is a judge for Judicial District 26E of the North Carolina 5th Superior Court Division. He assumed office on December 10, 2021. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.
McKnight (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for the Judicial District 26E judge of the North Carolina 5th Superior Court Division. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Gov. Roy Cooper (D) appointed McKnight to the Superior Court on December 3, 2021, to replace Donnie Hoover.[1]
McKnight was a judge of the 26th Judicial District in North Carolina from 2020 to 2021. Governor Roy Cooper (D) appointed him to the court on September 4, 2020, to replace Regan A. Miller.[2]
McKnight (Democratic Party) ran for election for judge of the North Carolina 7th Superior Court Division Judicial District 26. McKnight lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Education
McKnight earned a B.A. in journalism/mass communications from the University of South Carolina and a J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law.[3]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge of the 26th Judicial District in North Carolina, McKnight was a founding partner of McKnight Law Firm, P.L.L.C., founded in 2003. He also worked with Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice and with Browne, Flebotte, Wilson & Horn.[1] He has experience as a professor, senior associate, contract attorney, associate, and law clerk.[3] McKnight was named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers in 2014. He has also been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" for two years.[1]
