Robert E. Burch was a circuit court judge for the Twenty-Third Circuit Court in Tennessee. He joined the court in 1980.[1][2] Burch also presided over the district's Twenty-Third District Chancery Court.[3] He retired from the bench in August 2014.[4] Burch died of a heart attack on October 28, 2016.[5]

Education

Burch received his B.A. from The Citadel in 1969 and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1972. Prior to his legal career, he was a commercial pilot for Capitol Airways in Nashville.[1][6]

Career

Burch is a former attorney with the law firm of White, Regen, Burch & Beasley. He also previously served as a referee for the Tennessee Juvenile Court from 1975 until 1980, when he joined the Twenty-Third Circuit Court.[1]
