Robert M. Small
Robert M. Small is a former Fourth Judicial District judge for Hennepin County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position on February 1, 2006. He was elected in 2008 to a term that expired in January of 2015.[1]
Education
Prior to attending college, Robert Small served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968. He then received his B.A. from the College of St. Thomas in 1971 and his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1975.[2]
Career
Small began his legal career in 1975 as a staff attorney for the Veterans Administration in the Office of District Counsel. In 1981, he became an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Minnesota. He held this position until his judicial appointment in 2006.[2]
