I was born and raised in Iowa . Grew up in New London and have lived in Middletown Ia since 2017 .

My Family and I are small town people. I have worked at Champion spark plug for 31 years .

I am a proud union member and hold a position on the bargaining committee for local 1237.
  • My first objective is to bring more single family homes to our community. Middletown has several overdue projects and outdated equipment that will need replacement within the next 5 years . To do this without raising taxes ? We have to increase our revenue.

    I don't want investors building. I don't want low income housing and I don't want any HOA's.

Large yards and space between homes . We are a small town. We need to keep the small town vibe .while affording to survive
  • My 2nd objective is to reduce vacant housing. These homes are infested with ground hogs and raccoons. And bring potential health risk to our community. Many of these homes have been vacant for more than 10 years . Mowing your lawn does not keep these properties from violating city code ! We have a code and we need to enforce it.
  • My last objective is community involvement. While not every complaint is valid? We the council do need to hear them . Not every issue can or will be solved ! But I will strive to get the answers even if they are not what you want to hear. HONESTY IS KEY I would also like to possibly bring back a city celebration with car show kids activities food etc ? Would be looking for a committee for this.
Public safety is very important for me and our community.

Our kids and Grandkids deserve a safe place to be kids . We need to know that they can go to the park, post office or even Casey's without fear.

That crossing Main St can be done without someone running the 4 way stop. Or walk down the street without someone speeding by .
It is my opinion that all elected officials attend all meetings. The community is relying on us to take our roles seriously.

We ran for and accepted the responsibility.

It is our duty to do it with pride.
IF by Robert Kipling.
Adapt and overcome. We all have struggles
As Mayor the responsibilities are to keep order in the meetings. To Make sure daily duties of city employees are being done . And to either get the answers to citizens concerns or delegate council to get those answers. Regardless of the answer.
Close proximity to good paying jobs .
In my opinion upgrades and upkeep to our current city hall and equipment will be challenging. If we don't increase our population and revenue? We will have to raise taxes !
