June 13, 2018: Sixty-six percent (66%) of business software used on PCs in China is unlicensed. The commercial value of that unlicensed software is $6.8 billion.[1]
In Russia, 62% of the business software is unlicensed, with a commercial value of $1.3 billion.
Worldwide, 37% of all business software used on PCs is unlicensed.
According to the Software Alliance, just 15% of business software on PCs used in the United States is unlicensed.[2] However, due to the size of the economy and other factors, the commercial value of the unlicensed software is higher than for any other country, at $8.6 billion.
